Milton Would Be Jealous

My new workspace is finally shaping up. On my first day my desk held nothing but a tray of veggies and dip someone had brought for a treat. I didn't have a computer the whole first week but now I've been issued my very own Mac Mini, which certainly lives up (down?) to its name. It's so tiny I could slip it into my purse and carry it away. It's dwarfed by the giant monitor. And some kind soul gave me her extra pens, pushpins, CD holders, etc., since my area had been completely picked over. Still don't have a wastebasket, though. But the best part is, my supervisor finally located a stapler for me. . . a RED SWINGLINE! Yay!.

Long Time No See

I decided to drop by my poor little blog so that it doesn't feel neglected. I've been too busy to tend to it properly, between starting a new job, finding a new apartment, packing up my junk, moving, unpacking my junk and dealing with a series of screwups from the brain trust at Verizon and the cable company. And I'm not even close to being finished!

In between all of this, I did note something amusing at the Wal-Store. They had an item for sale called "Squeez-it," which was a crimp-type device that allows you to get every last drop of toothpaste from the tube. The problem is, the people (like me) who are cheap enough to worry about wasting a dab of toothpaste are not about to plunk down a whole $1.78 for a thing like that!!
