Reunited And It Feels So Good

So I finally managed to reclaim my old blog! Yay! I had a hell of a time getting back into this thing. And now that I'm here, well, I'm kind of at a loss for words! So much has happened since my last post. And yet things are pretty much the same. I still love my man Paul W., although with the new account his picture looks really washed out. I'm still 90% certain my work crush is gay. I'm still annoyed by the gossiping asshats who try to drag me into their drama.

On a positive note, they finally released season two of "Twin Peaks" on DVD! I've only had time to watch the first six episodes. I haven't seen them since they originally aired, so I had forgotten a lot. It's nowhere near as good as the first season, but still better than 95% of what currently airs on TV. The "Who Killed Laura Palmer" thing dragged on for way too long, and the Black Lodge story that followed didn't interest me as much. But I love the overall mood, the sets, that great Angelo Badalamenti music, and David Duchovny in a dress. They sure had some hunky men on that show. Kyle McLachlan was so dreamy back then.

As I recall, the final episode left a ton of loose ends hanging. It's a shame they weren't given a chance to resolve them all. "Twin Peaks" is one my heartbreaker shows, one that was cancelled way too soon (others include "It's Your Move," "Cupid" and "Andy Richter Controls The Universe). But watching it now, I'm amazed it was given even two seasons. Today it would probably be cancelled after three episodes to make room for some dumb reality show.
