Newsflash: Men Are Pervs

Last week we had a Halloween costume contest at my workplace. Some other female co-workers and I decided to dress in our pajamas, carry around stuffed animals and pretend we were a slumber party. I was in favor of it because, duh, I could wear my pajamas at work and be comfy all day!

Sounds innocent enough, right? But the interesting thing was, I got more male attention in that one day than I usually do in two weeks. No, make that a month! All day men were doing double takes and telling me that I looked cute. Men who had never even spoken to me before were hanging around checking me out. Was I wearing a something slinky from Victoria's Secret or Frederick's of Hollywood? Absolutely not! The outfit had to be work-appropriate, of course. I had on my Nick & Nora pajamas with the snow globe pattern, plus my monkey slippers. So if I wasn't dressed provocatively, what was the reason for all the attention? The only thing I can think of is that I put my hair up in two pigtails on either side of my head. I was trying to look as much like a little girl as possible (at my age, that's quite a feat!). I think the "not quite legal" aspect is what was driving them crazy! Sickos!!
